How To Make A Christmas card Using A Small Cross Stitch Kit.
For this card I have used an 8 x 8 card base. To make it into the easel card you need to fold one side of the card in half. For the base I have used red card to matt & layer, followed by white card that I have printed out with the fizzy moon character on it from my Serif craft artist program. I then matted & layered the “I love you” and used foam pads to raise it up. I stuck this to the base of my card.

To make the top part of the card you need to cut a piece of card stock 8 x 8 then stick this to the outside half fold on the card. Your card will then stand up. I use the same matching fizzy moon card that I had printed off to do the next layer. To frame my cross stitch I used one of my Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circles (LG) S4-114 with the largest die from Spellbinders Nestabilities/Majestic Elements Marvelous Squares S4-383. This made a frame for my cross stitch. I stuck my cross stitch to the frame.
I then cut four corners from Creative Expressions Craft Dies By Sue Wilson Corners Border & Tag Dies Californian Collection CED1102 in red card. I glue two of them to the back of my framed cross stitch. The other two corners I used foam pads on the back to raise them and placed them in opposite corners. I use foam pads on the cross stitch frame and placed this in the middle of the card.

I used a piece of white tulle under my flowers. I used the Creative Expressions Craft Dies By Sue Wilson Classic Rose Dies Finishing Touches Collection CED1407 to create the rose’s on my card. I used my acrylic glue on the rose and covered it with iced snow glitter jewels. I then glue them to my card. I added a bow made from the Creative Expressions Craft Dies By Sue Wilson 3D Classic Itty Bitty Bows CED1408 in the corner of the card. I added some pearl hearts from my stash to the “I love you” in the corners.

In my opinion the Spellbinders Metal Shim makes cutting detailed dies so much easier, and cutting felt and fabrics a breeze.
